I have signed up to play the harpsichord (very old, first piano) for the Saratoga Springs/Eagle Mountain performances of Handel's Messiah on Sunday, December 3 and Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m. This is a new opportunity for me to practice music that I have never played before and gain experience in making a piece performance ready. In preparation for this, I've decided to include my students in a studio challenge....

Can you practice more than your teacher? You were just recently given new Christmas music to perform. I have also just been given new music that I need to learn to perform. So, the challenge is this: you have two weeks to log all your practice time of your Christmas music. If by Wednesday, November 29th any student has practiced more than Sara, you will win a reward!! Sara will be handing out practice logs for this challenge at this week's lessons. (If you do not receive one this week, please start logging your time in your notebooks!)
